How to enter
  • Only 1 entry per chef (Junior and Senior) and 1 entry per team will be accepted

  • Each entrant will be required to submit original recipes for a delicious starter, main meal and dessert by no later than 24 July 2011

  • The written recipes will be judged on the number of Unilever Food Solutions products used, the novel use of products, the originality of the recipe, the degree of difficulty and skill required, the fusion of flavours and portion obedience

  • A panel of judges will select five Junior Chefs and five Senior Chefs in each region to participate in the regional cook offs to be held in Cape Town - 1st August, Johannesburg - 3rd August and Durban - 5th August.

  • Junior and Senior Chef Regional Finalists will be required to prepare a three course menu using Unilever products in a mystery basket

  • The top five Junior and Senior Chefs regionally, as well as the top five scoring Teams of Four nationally, will go through to the Mystery Basket Finals to be held on 16 September 2011 at the Unilever Head Office in Durban

  • In the regional and national finals, each dish will be judged on its preparation, presentation and taste

  • Photographs of each dish must be attached to the entry form
